Kwame In Trouble Again

DETROIT (WKZO) -- Disgraced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has been arraigned for violating probation, and released on $10-thousand bond. Judge David Groner says he failed to pay $79-thousand dollars on his million dollar fine by the due date. Kilpatrick’s Attorney countered with a motion to have the judge disqualified for Bias. The prosecution and possible rejailing of Kilpatrick will be delayed until they can sort out the Bias motion.

It would be hard to blame the judge if he didn’t particularly like Kilpatrick, who has just hired a New York Public Relations firm to attack the judge. Mike Paul says the case against his client is purely political.

Paul with MGP and Associates says part of his work for Kilpatrick is being done because of their friendship, which means he is getting a break on the price. The judge amended Kilpatrick’s arrest warrant, not only charging him with failure to pay but failure to disclose the source of the money he did pay.
